If Ten Percent is Good Enough For Jesus...

An inspired 2:50 from Ray Stevens, comic poet laureate of country music.

The scary bit is--he first released this song in the early 1990's!

Enjoy.

thanks for spotlighting Ray's income tax song! the original recording is from 1993 and during the middle of last year he decided to re-record the song because it didn't get enough publicity the first time around. Ray didn't actually write the song, though. A trio of songwriters named Ken Gibbons, Hal Coleman, and Roger Searcy wrote the song. It first appeared on Ray's 1993 Curb Records album, "Classic Ray Stevens". The re-recording is available as a digital download.

The original recording from 1993 was recorded at his theater in Branson, Missouri.
